Even The French Think Obama Is Weak
Nile Gardiner believes it is shameful when the White House is accused of betrayal by close allies in eastern and central Europe, but utterly humiliating when even the Elysee Palace thinks the United States has been transformed from a lion to a lamb in the face of mounting global threats.  As The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported this morning, French president Nicolas Sarkozy was less than impressed with Barack Obama’s performance last week in the face of the Iranian nuclear crisis.

According to the paper, Washington urged Paris to delete key sections of Sarkozy’s UN speech that were critical of Iran and supposedly threatened to undermine Obama’s attempt to project himself as a global peacemaker:
  

“President Sarkozy in particular pushed hard.  He had been “frustrated” for months about Mr. Obama’s reluctance to confront Iran, a senior French government official told us, and saw an opportunity to change momentum.  But the Administration told the French that it didn’t want to “spoil the image of success” for Mr. Obama’s debut at the U.N. And his homily calling for a world without nuclear weapons, according to the Paris daily Le Monde.  So the Iran bombshell was pushed back a day to Pittsburgh, where the G-20 were meeting to discuss economic policy.”

“Le Monde’s diplomatic correspondent, Natalie Nougayrède, reports that a draft of Mr. Sarkozy’s speech to the Security Council Thursday included a section on Iran’s latest deception.  Forced to scrap that bit, the French President let his frustration show with undiplomatic gusto in his formal remarks, laying into what he called the “dream” of disarmament.”

  
Sarkozy was so annoyed with Obama’s weak-kneed approach that he reportedly told Le Monde that “we live in the real world, not in a virtual one”, a cutting and mocking reference to Obama’s drive for a new arms control treaty.  The WSJ quotes him as saying:
  

“President Obama himself has said that he dreams of a world without nuclear weapons.  Before our very eyes, two countries are doing exactly the opposite at this very moment.  Since 2005, Iran has violated five Security Council Resolutions . . . I support America’s ‘extended hand.’  But what have these proposals for dialogue produced for the international community?  Nothing but more enriched uranium and more centrifuges.  And last but not least, it has resulted in a statement by Iranian leaders calling for wiping off the map a Member of the United Nations.  What are we to do?  What conclusions are we to draw?  At a certain moment hard facts will force us to make decisions.”

  
I cannot think of a more damning indictment of US global leadership than a French leader urging Obama to show more backbone in confronting the world’s biggest state sponsor of international terrorism, a rogue nation about to acquire nuclear capability.  It is highly embarrassing that Obama is reminded of his leadership responsibilities yet again from across the Atlantic after the debacle over Washington’s appalling surrender to the Russians on missile defense.

Barack Obama’s weakness on the world stage will inevitably lead to the decline of America as a superpower.  That’s not “smart power” — it’ is a policy of defeat.

Video — Jack Kelly, Pittsburgh Posy-Gazette, says that French President Sarkozy sees Obama as very naive and arrogant.  Sarkozy is worried about the Western world with such a flawed president leading America.

This is a repost that I did on another site, but I want to add this thought.

If the Government controlls our Food, and they control our Healtcare, and businesses, then they control our future. Our security is at risk because we get our oil from Over seas. If the San Joaquin Valley can not grow our food, then we will be at the mercy of other countries for our existance. I don’t know about you, but I worry about eating food from China, or other countries.

 

My thoughts On the “Valley that Hope Forgot”.

 I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley of California. My Family came there in 1901 from Tennessee. We were dirt Farmers, not far from Huron and Mendota. While my family grew Cotton and Alfalfa there was still so much Pride and beauty in the surrounding farms that grew the food. I remember whenever we would leave the Valley for a week to Go to the coast, that the mark of being back home for me, was when We would come down off of the hills near Avenal, and see miles and miles Of rich farmland that was either green with crops or had just been plowed For the next planting. Farmland Fields are the most beautiful site to An old Farm Girl like myself. I would rather see Fertile Fields than the Ocean, Or the mountains. I am a Flat Lander and Farm girl at Heart. During this Program, I could not keep from crying as I watched, and saw The condition of the fields. As I watched the people that are without Jobs, and the thought of these people having to get food from the Government when they are used to growing not only the Food for the World, But their own food. It breaks my heart. They say that they are trying to save the Minnows, but they need to take A good look at the people, and what is happening to them. When will our Government wake up and give people more of a priority than some fish, bird, or mouse ? I for one do not want to eat food grown in China or Mexico, or India. If China sends Us toys with lead in the paint that can make children sick, or kill them, then why would we want to eat the food they grow? If this happens we will not only be at The Mercy of other Countries for Gas and Oil, we will be at the Mercy for our own food and survival. This goes directly to the of Security of Our Country!! This has been coming for a long time, and I think they are using The minnows as an excuse. There used to be so many Packing houses Up and down the valley and they have shut many of them down and ship the Food to Mexico to have it packed. This has been going on for some years. Someone needs to find out what the Governments REAL AGENDA is. There Has to be something bigger than the Minnow. I thought President Obama was for minorities, and taking care of them too. The Majority of the farm workers are Minorities that need these jobs. He is taking the food out of their mouths and their ability to take responsibility For themselves and their families. While Mrs Obama makes such a big deal of planting a garden at the white house, They are taking away the Garden of the World, as a great percentage of the Worlds food comes from California and the San Joaquin Valley. I watched with Sadness in my heart, and tears in my eyes but I want to thank Shawn Hannity for the Great Reporting on this American Tragedy.

There was a vote in the Senate to turn the water back on, and all of the Republican’s voted yes except for three, and I bet we can guess which ones those were, but the Democrats voted no, and they have more votes….

Does everyone remember the story about the young boy that
Cried wolf? It was about a  boy that had to go out into
The fields and tend the sheep at night. He was told that
If a wolf came to call his elders and they would come help
Him.
After a time in the fields, the young boy became very lonely,
So one night he decided to give the call that would bring the
Towns people out to the fields. So he did, and it worked.
The people came out in numbers, and the young boy then
Had the company he wanted.  He told the people that the wolf
Had gone, but he had achieved what he set out to do. He was
Not lonely that night.
For the next five nights the boy did the same thing. He called
The town out and said there had been a wolf. The people were
Getting tired of coming out in the night on false claims.
On the sixth night, the boy did see a wolf. He made the call loud
And clear to the town, and no one came. The wolf chased away
The sheep and killed the boy.  And the Moral of the story is??
 
People that are crying Racist at anything  that any person says
About the policies of this administration are basically doing the
Same thing, as the boy who cried wolf.
There was a time when if you called some one a racist it meant that
It WAS disgusting thing. The word racist is being thrown around like
The “F” word so much that it is loosing it’s meaning.
Not only are they calling white people racist, they are also turning on
Black people who do not agree with This Administration.
Lloyd Marcus who traveled with the Tea Party Express to march on
Washington DC last week, has been called a Racist., and received
Hate e-mail on his site. Since this word Racist is being thrown around
So freely by people on the left even if directed at Black people that
Have a differing opinion about what direction this President is taking
This country, the word becomes meaningless! It becomes 
 Meaningless because of the fact that you now have black people calling
Black people Racists…. What a foolish thing to do. You can like the
President and still disagree with his policies and you are not a racist
Whether you are “Black” or  “White”. People, use your common Sense!!

Administration  I have ever seen. For a Sitting President who was
Supposed to be  All inclusive, to call members of the other party out
 Because they do not Agree with him and his policies, is the most
Childish thing I have ever Seen. These Republican’s have stated that
They have tried to talk to the President who says he has an open door,
And they still have not gotten In to talk to him on the issues.His Door may
Be open, but his office is empty.

DNC promises ‘rain of hellfire’

The increasingly aggressive Democratic National Committee on Friday launched a new “Call ’Em Out” website targeting prominent Republicans for statements they have made about President Barack Obama’s health reform plans.

“Help debunk the outrageous lies and misinformation about health reform,” the site says.

DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan said: “The message to opponents of change who would lie or misrepresent the truth should be clear. We are going to respond forcefully and consistently with the facts, and you will no longer be able to peddle your lies with impunity. Through tools like ‘Call ‘Em Out,’ you will be met with a rain of hellfire from supporters armed with the facts and you will be held to account.”

The website is part of a larger, more aggressive approach taken by the White House through the DNC to push back against smears, distortions and misinformation. It’s taken various forms, including hitting back on Republican Medicare attacks with a TV ad that ran nationally and in 10 targeted members’ districts.

 

ACORN Investigating ACORN??

ACORN is going to launch an investigation into ACORN!! Hows that For Liberals taking care of business?? Crimes are rampant in this group and others like SEIU, and they will investigate it themselves? YIKES!! That would be like Dodd investigating Rangle or visa versa!! May the Good Lord Help us all!! Have you ever heard of “Too many cooks spoil the Soup”? Well, too many Crooks are spoiling this country!!
Chicago-style politics has found a new home in the White House.
This is the way that Chicago politics works. It is all below the level of legal, and all is good as long as each group covers for the other group.
Remember that President Obama was ACORN”S  lawyer. What did he do for them you ask? He fought a large Bank To make sure that ACORN could get loans for people that would not normally qualify.
 
Part of Obama’s work,as a Community Organizer  it would appear, was to organize demonstrations, much in the same way that radical groups like Acorn does.
As I started writing this post, of course I was really ticked off because of
A couple of reasons. One reason is the obvious, that they are a corrupt organization. Another is that we have a President that I suspect will try
And protect them at all cost, because the are cheap labor. The other is that
The people that work for ACORN are taught to cheat the American people
On voting, housing, and the IRS. While doing this, they have no clue that they
Are expendable and if they are caught, the higher ups will throw them so far
Under the bus that they won’t ever get out!!
Yesterday while I was writing this, the senate Voted to stop all funding to ACORN  Housing pending investigations.

As I understand it, this only has to do with the housing. We also need an Investigation into cheating of the IRS!

“We’ve already seen the Census Bureau severe its tie with ACORN,” the spokesman, Kurt Bardella, told FOXNews.com. “Certainly, as an organization being subsidized by taxpayer dollars, their relationship with other government entities should be called into question, and whether or not it’s appropriate for them to receive taxpayer dollars.”
Has The One opened his mouth yet to say anything about his pals being in such dire straits?

On Monday, the U.S. Senate voted 83-7 to strip Acorn, the premier community organizing group on the left, of more than $1.6 million in federal housing money meant to assist low-income people obtain loans and prepare tax forms. This dramatic step followed last Friday’s decision by the U.S. Census Bureau to sever its ties with the organization, one of several community groups it was partnering with to conduct the nation’s head count.

Remember Obama’s Resume’? The only thing on it was being a “Community Organizer”. Now if my Resume looked like that I would stuff it with all my accomplishements from my college back ground. I would add refrences to any papers I had written, and any side jobs I had done. His Resume’ was void of these things. What about his being President of the Law Review, don’t you have to write a paper to get your JD degree?

Clunkers the untold

A vehicle at 15 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 800 gallons a year of gasoline.

A vehicle at 25 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 480 gallons a year.

So, the average clunker transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.

They claim 700,000 vehicles – so that’s 224 million gallons / year.

That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.

5 million barrels of oil is about ¼ of one day’s US consumption.

And, 5 million barrels of oil costs about $350 million dollars at $75/bbl.

So, we all contributed to spending *$3 billion* to save $350 million…

How good a deal was that???

No doubt, they’ll probably do a great job with health care though!

 

A HERO IN MY FAMILY!!

I recieved this link to an article this moring featuring my cousin who is confined to a wheel chair after an accident that has left him without the means to get up and walk, but never took away his faith in God or his zest for life and the fight to succeed.  Being raised Seventh Day Adventist, his faith was ingrained in his soul  before the accident in which the scafold he was on gave way throwing him to the ground with a bundle of roofing materials landing on his head. Michael, (we call him Mike) has over come many hardships, but has always retained a great sense of humor.  He is an inspriation to many.

The construction company Mike worked for at the time of the accident did not carry insurance on their workers, and so it was an uphill battle with doctor bills.  His wife could not face this tragedy and soon left him, so he has been living with his mom and dad for all the years since the accident. They are an amazing family and have the same faith of course that Mike does and this has seen them through.

The Home that my cousin’s live in, in Cookville, Tennessee sits on a hill and backs up to a forest. After a time of healing Mike being an out door person all his life, needed a way to get out into the woods. That can be a difficult challenge if you are confined to a wheelchair. Wheel Chairs do not roll over the Forest Floor too easily. So Mike set about the task to have a wooden path built from thier back door out into the forest, and it is the most awesome thing I have ever been on. When I visited, I took that walk out into the Forest all  by myself and never felt so close to Nature or God in my life. The sounds and the sights were amazing. I could see why Mike loved this spot so much. As I walked ablong the path, it got even better, as they had built a bridge over a little gorge. The Beauty and the peace was something I will never forget. His goal for that spot is to build a Wheel Chair Accessable tree house so him and others can have the experience to going up to be closer to God.

 Now that Mike has gotten his Contractors license he is going to build green houses that are accessable to people in wheel chairs and special needs. He is all about giving back even though he has his limitations.

A few years ago unbenown to Mike, the students he graduated with from the Adventist Academy, held a fund raiser and at a party that Mike did not know was being held for him.  He was presented with a Wheel Chair Accesable Van, that had also been fitted with the equipment that he could drive himself. I remember him sending me an e-mail after he took it out for the first time, and telling me how it felt to have the freedom to take himself to Wal-Mart and the Post Office.

With the Healthcare bill that Congress and this Administration wants, Mike would have been seen as a person that was of no use in Society. I beg to differ with this government as you look around you there are so many productive People in society that have lost limbs and it dosen’t stop them from acheiving certain goals. Many double amputees have gone back to fight again in the war against terror and once again stand with many other heros.

TAKE NO PRISNERS!!

Back in the days of the  Civil War, prisoners were threatened with Hanging. If they didn’t talk, they were hung from the highest tree. Now there’s an alternative!!
These terrorists are not into tea and crumpets and a little chat, they are out to destroy us and they don’t care if you are a liberal or a conservative.

They didn’t take a head count or talk to the people they killed before they flew planes full of people into the  Twin Towers now, did they? That was true torture!!  Those people had to live through sheer TERROR for the last minutes of their lives!! ” Some were talking to their loved ones on the phone for the last time to tell them they loved them.  Now with this new administration, captured prisoners are supposed to be given their rights???? On Foreign Soil to Terrorists??? This is not a police action!! This is War! And Yes, you can call it anything you like, but this is a WAR on TERROR against TERRORISTS!!  After our soldiers read them their rights, then what will they do with them? Take their name and address and look them up later? Turn them in to the the Taliban and file a complaint? Give them juice and coffee and a Koran? Pray with them?I say if we can not treat them like enemy combatants, then TAKE NO PRISNERS!! Here is our Attorney General investigating the CIA that helped keep us safe for eight years. They will now put the interrogation of foreign Captives in the hands of our White house!! We have already seen how our President treats our enemies, and how he treats our allies. Big difference. He bows to and back slaps our enemies and skips out on dinner plans with our allies, to dine with is wife on one of their many expensive Dates!! Boy, I can’t see that as the most important thing on the agenda on an overseas trip for a President!!… If he can’t stick to his commitments on business on a trip, then leave the wife at home.What our Attorney General should be investigating, is the CZARS sitting in our White House as President Obama’s advisors. They are protected from any investigation by the Congress and are free wheeling to do as the President wants or what they want. What does the President want them to do? He has no clue, that’s what he has them for, to advise him!! That  is scary as Hell!!Now that we have broadcast to the world and the terrorists that our government is investigating our Intelligence agency, what is left of our Security and how is this going to affect our troops on Foreign lands?  And How will this affect our ability to stay safe in our country?? This is a Huge Mistake!!
