Medicare cuts starting already?

I had to get up early yesterday morning for a visit to the doctor
To have a blood test. This was a fasting blood test, so
I chose to go early so I did not have to suffer half the day
With out my coffee.. My idea is get up early, get there and
Get back to have coffee…
Before the the nurse took my blood, she put a paper in
Front of me and asked me to sign it. She explained that
Starting in March 2010, Medicare will no longer cover
Blood tests for Cholesterol. She went on to explain that by
Signing the paper in front of me, that I would be agreeing that I would
Be responsible for the charges for that particular blood test…..
She never did explain why, but I did ask how much that test would
Cost. She told me it would be $39.00.
I still have no clue as to why but, is this a sign of things to come? Can
It get worse from here?
While this seems such a small thing, it may be the start of something
Bigger.
I also had a chat with the doctor, (I knew she was a doctor), because she
Had on a White Lab Coat!! LOL!! Anyway, I asked her if she thought
Doctors, Real Ones, (not the White House Garden ones..) LOL!
I asked her if she thought Doctors would even see Medicare and Medicaid
Patients if the New Health care bill pays them less to see patients, and she
Said No, there are already doctors that will not see Medicare patients as
Their primary doctors. I know that it is that way already with Tricare, in our
Area. The government pay to the doctors is not enough to make it worth their
While, so it is hard to find a Tricare approved doctor in our area. That folks is
Government Run Health Care at it’s finest.
I also had a blood pressure cuff  put on yesterday, that stays on for 24
Hours. It is like having a rubber band on for 24 hours, except much wider,
And it is itching meTo death.
I will finish my coffee, and then go get this silly thing off so my
Arm can breathe, and I can scratch it. While this was on, it showed that during
Much of the time, my blood pressure was lower than I have ever seen it before,
Sometimes dipping down to 96/58…. I think this whole test was done to see if
My medication was working… Well…. Seems to me it is working overtime

I am passing this along as just another thing that shows that Barack Obama Speaks
Out of both sides of his mouth, or thinks with different sides of his brain, depending
On who he is talking to. He is now saying that something like this is not called
For in his Healthcare bill. It is very hard to believe him when he gets up in front
Of a Town Hall to dispute the rumors that are floating around as bogus, when we
Have either video’s or Interviews out of his own mouth saying just the opposite.
It is no wonder that the Protesters are out there yelling….
1. Tell the truth for once, and maybe he would be beliveable.
2. Give the people at the Town Halls a Microphone so they can be heard,
And they won’t have to yell!

Obama Says Grandmother’s Hip Replacement Raises Cost Questions

April 29 (Bloomberg) — President Barack Obama said his grandmother’s hip-replacement surgery during the final weeks of her life made him wonder whether expensive procedures for the terminally ill reflect a “sustainable model” for health care.

The president’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, had a hip replaced after she was diagnosed with cancer, Obama said in an interview with the New York Times magazine that was published today. Dunham, who lived in Honolulu, died at the age of 86 on Nov. 2, 2008, two days before her grandson’s election victory.

“I don’t know how much that hip replacement cost,” Obama said in the interview. “I would have paid out of pocket for that hip replacement just because she’s my grandmother.”

Obama said “you just get into some very difficult moral issues” when considering whether “to give my grandmother, or everybody else’s aging grandparents or parents, a hip replacement when they’re terminally ill.

“That’s where I think you just get into some very difficult moral issues,” he said in the April 14 interview. “The chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health- care bill out here.”

Obama promised during his presidential campaign that a health-care overhaul would be a top priority, and he said at a Missouri town hall meeting today that he hopes Congress will pass health-care legislation this year.

The issue has been divisive, and finding an answer that will keep costs down while extending coverage to the estimated 46 million Americans without health insurance has eluded past presidents.

‘Ruthless Pragmatism’

Obama also said his economic advisers aren’t constrained by ideology or connections to former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin. “What I’ve been constantly searching for is a ruthless pragmatism when it comes to economic policy,” he said, in the interview.

Obama also pointed to Canada as an example of a country that has effectively regulated commercial and investment banking without requiring legal separation of those activities.

“When it comes to something like investment banking versus commercial banking, the experience in a country like Canada would indicate that good, strong regulation that focuses less on the legal form of the institution and more on the functions that they’re carrying out is probably the right approach to take,” he said.

White House Asking For Snitches!!

So here you are on your blog, just posting away, and telling people what you feel about the Health Care or the Cap and Tax Bills, and along comes some snitch that can copy and send your words off to the White House!! The last time I looked, we are covered by the Constitution of the United States on the 1st Amendment for out Freedom of Speech!! I have googled, White House Snitches and below are two of the sites listed that says this is so. One of these web sites is The White House Web Site!! Check this out! I am completely disgusted by this!! Forced HealthCare for you, but not for Illegals? They won’t pay fine!

It was stated yesterday on  Neil Cavuto that We will be forced to buy health Care, and if we do not comply, we will be FINED $2,500.00 a year. The ones this Health care is supposed to put on the Health care rolls, the Illegals, will not be forced and will not be fined… Now how is that going to save anything? Looks like back to square one to me…
 So if they don’t have the health care, they will still go to emergency rooms, and nothing has changed, except we will be forced into a Government Run Health Care.
 
My stepdaughter is part Cherokee Indian through her mother, and she goes to an Indian Clinic in
In Arizona where she lives. It is free Health Care, and it is a nightmare. She has been waiting to get into a dentist for three months for a tooth that keeps getting infected and needs a root canal. She says that you have to get there early and be one of the first 30 in line or you do not get to see the doctor. She has not been successful in being one of the first in line. It looks like she might have to camp out in front of the door like they are have a sale at Best Buy after Christmas.
The next step is, that you are put on a list, but it has been three months since she was added to the list. When she had pneumonia it took a week and a half to get into see a doctor. This is the kind of thing I would not like to see happen to all of America.
I have written to my cousin who is a Heart Surgeon at a large Medical Center at a University of Nebraska here in the United States. I asked him to give me his opinion on this Healthcare, and what he thinks… He told me we do need reform, but it is too important of issue to push through so quickly. I asked about what the largest costs are caused from?
His answer is that part of the largest cost is the Liability Insurance that Doctors and Hospitals   have to pay. They pay from $50,000 to $150,000 a year for insurance to protect them from Malpractice suits. This runs up the cost for all medical bills. By putting a cap on how much a patients could get in a law suit against a doctor, it would cut the cost of our Healthcare. The problem is that most of the Senators and Congressmen, including the President,  are Lawyers. They are going to be sympathetic to the lawyers.
If the Healthcare bill in the final stages limits what Doctors can make, such as giving them a salary, this will limit new students from becoming Doctors. They would not be able to make enough when they go into practice to pay back the costly student loans when they do start their practice.
This is only the tip of the iceberg. By adding all the illegals to the Health care rolls, we will need more doctors. This will take awhile, so we will be in the same fix that Canada is in my having to wait for Appointments.  
 
Last night in his News Media fiasco the President talked in Circles again as if he were still campaigning. I think the only thing he knows how to do is try and Organize this gigantic Community we have called the United States. Here is how he answered one question:
 
Jake Tapper of ABC News specifically asked Obama about sacrifice and whether ordinary Americans will have to “give up some things” in order to enjoy the enormous benefits Obama is promising.
 
“They will have to give up paying for things that don’t make them healthier,” Obama said. “If there is a blue pill and a red pill and the blue pill is half the price and works just as well right now, why not pay half price?”
 
 
 
 
 If any of you watched Hannity last night, you saw what Obama and his wife helped do for the South Side of Chicago’s health care…. Basically the Tax Payers are paying the University of Chicago to not treat the poor? And this is what Michelle Obama got the big bucks to do… They recieve government money to treat the poor, but that is a sham. They shove them out the door so they  have beds for the wealthy…
